Win Tickets to Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Events!
March is festival month in Marvellous Melbourne, and autumn 2013 kicks off in style with the 21st Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (1 – 17 March). This year’s theme is Earth, following on from last year’s Fire. Whatever happened to Wind you ask? Well, there’s only so much you can do with air-dried beef.
But how much can you do with earth? Grow stuff for one thing. Which they do in abundance in country Victoria. For those outside the metropolitan area the Regional Closing Weekend alone offers more than 80 events for the discerning food-lover – and who isn’t one of them?
Vulture is venturing into the bayside suburbs to True South, local brewery and Argentinian restaurant, to partake in Pura Tierra – a feast offering a twist on the traditional Argentinian comida – and we are offering two lucky readers a ticket to 1 Potato, 2 Potato, 3 Potato, More at The Snug Pub in Brunswick (March 9 from 10am – 1pm) and the Cheeky Rascal Cider Blending Workshop at The Cider House in Fitzroy (March 10 from 8.30am-2pm)! To win, simply email jack@vulturemagazine.com.au with either “Potatoes” or “Cider” in the subject line, and tell us why you think one is better than the other.
There is so much happening during the two weeks of this celebrated Melbourne gastronomic event that we suggest you gather up your favourite knife and fork, loosen your belt a notch in preparation, and head along to some epic meal time wonders.
