Vulture Premiere: ‘Buildings’ by WHARVES
Holy Shit! We are stoked to be bringing you this absolute banger! Byron Bay lads WHARVES have just dropped a massive anthem on love and loss named ‘Buildings’, and it lives up to its name. Building from a slow steady rhythm early in the track, their expertly crafted suspense culminates in a breakdown and mega shred crescendo.
This is the third release from WHARVES, though one of the earliest tracks they wrote as a band. ‘Buildings’ is a crowd favourite, perfectly suited to wrapping up a show with it’s attention grabbing calm leading into the perfect type of chaos you want to end your night with. As such, they have performed it in this capacity at every single live show.
‘Buildings’ was recorded in the hills behind Byron Bay (of course), put together by Paul Pilsneniks (Powderfinger, Silverchair, Angus Stone) and mastered by Matthew Gray (Giorgio Moroder, The Middle East, Yves Klein Blue), and is arguably the lad’s best song yet. They have a string of dates coming up in June, which you need to see right after you go check out a bit more of their work.
