Tyler The Creator drops 2012 Summer Camp mixtape
Back in 2011 while wheelchair-bound and in the trenches of a European tour, Tyler The Creator aka DJ Stank Daddy dropped his first summer-orientated mixtape titled Summer Camp Mix 2011. Tyler has previously expressed he’s inspired by artists such as Beach House, Washed Out and Broadcast, but his mixtape revealed the exact tracks that influenced him ranging from N.E.R.D, Toro Y Moi, Jay Z, Erykah Badu, Stevie Wonder and Snoop Dogg.
After numerous tweets from Tyler hinting there would be a second instalment, without any announcement whatsoever he unleashed Summer Camp Mix 2012 which features all the songs that didn’t make it onto the first mix. Giving fans some great new music to jam to, it features Sleigh Bells, Lenny Kavitz, Estelle, Robin Thicke, TLC, Mariah Carey plus many more and new material from DJ Stank Daddy himself.
Of course Vulture’s got you covered, it’s free for download here.
Since Tyler and his collective OFWGKTA sent ripples through the music scene, Vulture has been watching their every move very closely. While Tyler’s been busy disk jockeying, Frank Ocean has dropped the second single ‘Sweet Life’ off his highly anticipated album Channel Orange set to be released on July 17 (as well as announcing he is a homosexual).
