The xx Announce Australian Shows

 

Here’s some news that will undoubtedly cure any Mondayitis that may be ailing. The xx are coming to Australia. The London three-piece will play two ‘small’ shows in Sydney and Melbourne on the 18^th and 20^th of July respectively.

The band revealed on Saturday that their sophomore album, Coexist, will be released September 10. Having premiered new material at an intimate run of club shows around their home city, it seems The xx will pick up right from where they left off.

The xx will also be employing a lottery system for the shows. As a means of stopping ‘the touts’ (which apparently is an English word for a person who solicits business in an annoying manner, we call them scalpers) from bulk buying the tickets will be limited to two per person. The ballot opened at 10am on June 4^th and people lucky enough to have their names drawn will be notified from Wednesday, June 6^th.
