The Presets Launch Video for ‘Youth In Trouble’
If you’re prone to seizures Vulture recommends sitting this one out. The Presets have finally released a video for their new single ‘Youth In Trouble’ from their upcoming album Pacifica. For all those brave punters out there get ready for over 6 minutes of what Vulture can only describe as a slightly retina-burning acid-trip. We’ll be honest, it tripped us the fuck out.
The single marks not only The Presets first new material since 2008’s Apocalypso conquered the charts (and pretty much everyone in existence), but also the duos change in musical direction. They recently told Triple J their upcoming material would be “a lot darker, a lot harder and slightly more challenging”.
Directed by New York visual artist Yoshi Sodeoka, the technicolour kaleidoscope features everything from dancing cats, horses, bikini girls, skater dudes, fighting youths and tiny baby dragons. Yes you read that right, baby dragons!
Pacifica drops on September 14, and The Presets will be headlining Parklife 2012.
