Streaking with Northeast Party House

July 5, 2012 by Jennifer D in Featured, The Vulture with 0 Comments

At the expense of sounding vulgar and childish, Vulture Magazine sent it’s most well-hung writer, Jenn Down, on a nudey run with Zach Hamilton-Reeves from Northeast Party House at a recent drinking session. This is what we could record of the conversation before they ran into a swamp and ruined the recorder.

Vulture: Is yours the sort of house where people can walk around nude?

Zach: Nudity is an integral part of our 6 piece, there is probably more nudity in our house than any other party house going round.

Vulture: How about that Corner Hotel gig, eh?

Zach: Lights, smoke, sweat, noise, glitter, toys, paint and a casual surf, we are very excited.

Vulture: Do y’all have stage personas?

Zach: Well I’m called the flying leopard… no no no, much better to be yourself on stage, just a little more intense and stupid.

Vulture: Where did “Pascal Cavalier” come from?

Zach: We’re still trying to figure this one out. I would say he came about in the usual way. But maybe a foreign land… You know what he probably arrived here by boat, so he’ll be deported shortly and I’m sure we’ll get in a bunch of trouble for being in contact with him

Vulture: What happens when you fill up your Nissan 4WD with diesel instead of unleaded petrol on tour?

Zach: Your car breaks down.. and you spend your entire day on a playground with a complete stranger junkie, jacked up on pills. Its pretty exciting when the car gets going again…

Vulture: If you weren’t in Northeast Party House, which other band would you be in?

Zach: I started reading some news about these One Direction kids. Seems like they get to have a lot of fun on tour, go to a show, press play, walk on stage, you don’t even have to sing or play an instrument, no stress, get driven everywhere, sleep in nice things! Sounds lovely!! That’s what I’d probably do…

Vulture: Any word on the new album?

Zach: Energetic!

Vulture: Best experience on tour?

Zach: Hmm I don’t know about the best. However, after a show we were asked by some friendly locals to go to some local club. But Damo decided in the car it was a bad idea and said we were driving straight to Sydney! So we protested in the back of the van, got ridiculously childish, yelling, banging on windows and dosed him with friendly amount of abuse. We got to Sydney safely. It was a pretty great bonding moment for the band. Sorry Damo!

Vulture: Three words to describe the band.

Zach: We’re-a House Party
