August 14, 2012 by E. Adamcewicz in Festivals, Latest News with 0 Comments

With thrash metal kings Metallica headlining the recently announced Soundwave lineup, the freight train that is Soundwave 2013 is stopping all stations. Linkin Park and Blink 182, A Perfect Circle, The Offspring and Paramore have also been confirmed, and in total 41 acts have been announced to tempt patrons ahead of tickets going on sale Thursday 23rd August.

The big names of Metallica, Linkin Park and Blink 182 are sure to grab the attention of most, but as for local and heavy metal talent, the line up has been more generous in previous years. With more acts yet to be announced and some very popular acts on the existing bill, tickets could potentially sell out before any additional acts are revealed.

The 2013 Soundwave festival kicks off proceedings on Saturday 23rd February in Brisbane and tours through Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Tickets go on sale Thursday 23rd August at 9am from www.soundwavefestival.com , www.oztix.com.au and participating outlets.
