RSVP to Dig It Up! – The Hoodoo Gurus Invitational

March 4, 2013 by Carl Dziunka in Festivals, Latest News with 0 Comments

As far as invitations go, The Hoodoo Gurus Dig It Up! Invitational is one that you would want to RSVP to pretty frickin’ quickly.

dig it up Hoodoo Guru's InvitationalFeaturing over 20 international and local acts, all handpicked by those Australian monsters of rock the Gurus themselves, the travelling festival (enjoying it’s second year after an explosive debut in 2012) is a chance to embrace a huge range of music from multiple eras and of multiple styles. On the international stage, the invitation extends to the likes of Blue Oyster Cult, Flamin’ Groovies, The Buzzcocks and Peter Case of The Nerves. And because The Hoodoo Gurus like something a little bit local as well, how about some Lime Spiders and Straight Arrows from Sydney, while Melbourne will be represented by The Moodists and Super Wild Horses. Depending on the state you’re in (as in geographically, not mentally or emotionally) you can also expect to enjoy a combination of The Crusaders, The Laurels, Mother and Son, Bloods, Ron S. Peno and the Superstitions, Bored Nothing and Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk.
