Queenscliff Music Festival Second Lineup Announcement

August 2, 2012 by Jack in Festivals, Latest News with 0 Comments

The Queenscliff Music Festival already impressed us with the first lineup announcement when it was made just a few weeks ago. But it appears that they have a few more tricks up their sleeves, as they have just announced the second lot of acts to take the stage at Victoria’s surf coast music extravaganza.

The names that grabbed Vulture’s attention in this big second announcement included the bluesy songstress Mia Dyson, self proclaimed “Best band in Australia” The Fauves, triple j pop rocker favourites Loon Lake and Money For Rope, Missy Higgin’s musical soulmate Butterfly Boucher, swampy toe-tappin’ badasses Howlin’ Steam Train, and the explosive garage rock duo Jackson Firebird.

Rounding out this second announcement are Jordie Lane, Deep Street Soul, Ngaiire, Lloyd Spiegel, The DC3, Kira Puru & The Bruise, Halfway To Forth, Keshie’s, The Joe Kings, Tom Richardson Project, The Bakers Digest, Juan Alban, Sweethearts, Shaun Kirk, Wishful (Paul Kelly’s daughters), Luke Legs & The Midnight Specials, Lily & King, ukulele lady Al Parkinson, Alister Turrill, Catherine Sanzaro & Izzy Losi Jamie Pye, Inertia Brass Band, Yirrmal and the Yolngu Boys, Tides of Welcome and Tane.

They join the already stellar lineup of Missy Higgins, The Cat Empire, Gurrumul, You Am I, Something For Kate, Baby Animals, British India, Ian Moss, TZU, Owl Eyes, Diesel, Emma Louise, Shannon Noll, The Beards, Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes, Electric Empire, King Cannons, Pinky Beecroft & The White Russians, Chase The Sun, Ruby Boots, Kingswood, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, plus All The Colours.

Holy shit that’s a lot of bands! The 16th Queenscliff Music Festival is on November 23rd, 24th and 25th, and one, two and three day tickets and camping passes are available now. Vulture had a blast at last year’s festival, so we strongly urge you to take the trip down the coast for the 2012 edition.
