Northcote delivers the Northern Exposure Visual Arts Festival
Now in its eight year, Northern Exposure is a visual arts festival based in Northcote that aims to bring exposure to local artists. Running from June 15th to July 2nd, the festival will feature a series of events, art installations and performances based around the High St precinct.
Among the beautiful and creative works that will be on display in local businesses, you can also attend creative workshops at the Northcote Town Hall, or join in on a life drawing class! Check out the Small Works – Small Spaces to discover sneaky street art installations around the Northcote area. Truly taking advantage of all Melbourne’s nooks and crannies, Small Works will pop out of nowhere to surprise you.
It all kicks off today, so there’s your weekend sorted! What we recommend:
Event – Cameo Artists & Designers @ Northcote Town Hall Rooftop Function Room. Enjoy the company of artists from Northern College of the Arts & Technology all the while being on a rooftop, brill! Friday June 15, from 6-9pm.
Date – Join a High Tour with pied pipers Susy Blue & Alex Connelly for a guided (musical) tour of the outdoors art installations. Did someone say romantic first date? Friday June 15 at 6.30pm and 8pm, and Saturday June 16 at 2pm.
Artists – Don’t miss the works of Greg Giannis, Dan Goronsky and Pop Up Poets – if you can find them.
