Muppet Madness Hits Melbourne
If you didn’t grow up with Sesame Street or The Muppets then your childhood must have been preeeetty damn lack lustre.
Don’t fret!! It’s not too late to make up for lost time.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Jim Henson’s passing and ACMI is bringing to life a collection of works from deep within the Henson Foundation vaults called Muppets, Music and Magic: Jim Henson’s Legacy.
This collection of works features some of Henson’s experimental films, TV commercials, animations and of course work on his most famous and influential TV program, Sesame Street.
Producer of The Muppets, Martin Baker, will be a guest speaker at the exhibition and what an incredible person to have on our shores. Baker worked alongside Henson for over two decades, so he’s gonna have all the insider info we’ve been longing for all these years.
Muppets, Music and Magic: Jim Henson’s Legacy will be running from September 21 through until October 11 and really is perfect for absolutely everybody. So rally up your friends, kids, mums and dads, and re-live the magic all over again.
Tickets aren’t available just yet but stay tuned to the ACMI website for all the details.
