Monks of Mellonwah introduce Neurogenesis

Teaming ambient rock with alt-funk groove and swagger are the Monks of Mellonwah. Drawing influences from past and present, the indie- rock quartet have created their own stamp on the alternative rock genre – An electrifying infusion of driving riffs and honest, compelling vocal deliveries lathered over with a fat production style.

The Monks of Mellonwah’s second EP Neurogenesis, set to be released July 6th is an epic exploration of several conceptual journeys through their explosive, spacey sound. The Monks see the release of  their new EP with an accompanying  nine-date Australian tour to pump out some fresh Mellonwah melodies for their ever-growing audiences throughout August.

The Sydney natives are hitting it big in the US of A, boasting several nominations at the LA Music Awards, having sold out the 1,200 strong Key Club in Hollywood and recently penning a publishing deal with Bunin Murray (MTV).

Back home in Oz the Monks have lapped up awards galore and tonnes of radio play of late. The bets are on that this tour may be the only chance to see these bright young things before they get yanked back to tinsel town hot in pursuit of their rising MTV fame and demanding American fans.
