Meredith Music Festival Lineup Announcement

August 17, 2012 by Lucas Thomas in Featured, Festivals with 0 Comments

There isn’t another festival quite like the Meredith Music Festival. It’s mission statement of “better before bigger, and no dickheads” may be simple, but it has proven, as the festival enters it’s twenty second year, that it’s a recipe for success.

You know what else is a recipe for success? Having Primal Scream as the headline act of your festival. Well done Meredith, you’ve come up trumps again.

We’ve been slow in getting this line up announcement together. It’s not that we didn’t want to; it’s just that we’ve been doing this flat out for the past day.

The Meredith line up is always something to behold and this year is no exception. The aforementioned Primal Scream will front up a list of phenomenal international talent, featuring a great mix of new and old favourites. Many may not be familiar with all of the works of the prolific Four Tet and Spiritualized, but there’s plenty of time to get accustomed before they make you loose your mind on the second weekend of December

The mix of Australian talent is nothing short of amazing. From The Sunnyboys playing their first Victorian show in 21 years, to Regurgitator playing songs from their two-decade career to some of the most exciting up and coming bands, this line up is as much about the locals as it is the internationals. I mean, Royal Headache, Snakadaktal, Chet Faker, Pond, Bitter Sweet Kicks and Twerps? It’s like a goddamn rookie all-star game.

Also, beat boxing legend Rahzel. Shut the damn gate people, this will be amazing.

Tickets are the same price as last year and the year before that. For more details on how grab one, get your arse over here.
