July 19, 2012 by Lucas Thomas in Festivals, Latest News with 0 Comments

The beloved Meredith Music Festival has announced the first two acts of it’s 2012 edition. Aside from the associated excitement that the second weekend of December is fast approaching, Auntie Meredith has shown us a pair of Aces. Canadian songstress Grimes will celebrate her maiden Australian voyage in the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre alongside Australian cult legends The Sunnyboys.

In a festival that has diversity as it’s modus operandi, it is in true Meredith style to announce Grimes, (Claire Boucher) one of the most exciting young acts in the world at the moment alongside a band who last played live when Boucher was three years old.

The announcement coincides with the opening of the ticket ballot for Meredith number 22. Tickets for this years event will set you back $279 and for many, four years off your adult life. Worth every penny.

Meredith will be held at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre December 7-9. You know what to do…
