Melbourne International Comedy Festival Program Launched
Get ready to chuckle your guts up Melbourne, as everyone’s favourite citywide festival of mirth and mayhem is just around the corner.
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, now in it’s 27th year, launched it’s program today, and its a corker. All the international staples are there – Your Arj‘s, your Ross Noble‘s, your Rich Hall‘s and your David O’Doherty‘s will be joined for the first time by superstars from across the seas like Ruby Wax, The Wayan Brothers and 30 Rock’s Tracy Morgan. Of course, the massive Australian contingent is too big to start naming names, but we will anyway – some of the more interesting Oz stuff includes Frank Woodley teaming up with acrobat extraordinaire Simon Yates, last year’s best newcomer Ronny Chieng, Sam Simmons probably doing something really fuckin’ weird, and about a hundred guys called Dave.
Keep an eye out for the printed programs appearing where printed stuff tends to appear on Saturday, or head on over to the website where you can already browse the Comedy Festival program and buy tickets to shows. As Tom Gleeson so eloquently puts it: “Don’t miss out, bitches!”
