Lollapalooza Line-Up Announcement

April 11, 2012 by Pixie in Festivals, Latest News with 0 Comments

Lollapalooza is arguably one of the biggest and best festivals in the world. The event, held in Chicago, is known for attracting pilgrims from all over the globe to its grounds where, for 3 days, they can bask in the god-like glow for some of the biggest names in the recording world. Last year, in a Lollapalooza record, 270,000 fans attended the event. Vulture Magazine is psyched to announce that rock legends, Black Sabbath, will fill the headline spot this year in what is slated to be their only Northern American show of 2012.

Music nerds will know that the band was reportedly set to headline the USA’s alternate festival giant, Coachella, however had to pull out when guitarist, Tony Iommi, was diagnosed with lymphoma. Having completed his chemo the band decided that life was too short not to play Lollapalooza and, thus, here they are. Black Sabbath will be joined by a plethora of drool worthy artists including (grab a spare pair of undies because yours are about to get soiled) Jack White, The Black Keys and Aussie sensations The Jezabels.

Tickets cost $230 (for a three day pass)  and will be available from lollapalooza.com.

Check out the full line-up and start looking at US flights!
