I, A Man Free Show Alert

April 29, 2012 by E. Adamcewicz in Featured, Things To Do with 0 Comments

Since launching their debut EP Fifteen Thirty Three on their own label We Swimmers and their latest EP You Are Boring Us All, Melbourne indie pop outfit I, A Man have headlined two east coast tours of their own.

With an emphasis on choral vocals, well thought out percussion and acoustic guitars, I, A Man have started carving their niche in the local music scene and turning heads online.

Their singles ‘Sometimes’ and ‘Big Ideas’ encapsulate a certain dreamlike quality that can be found in all of I, A Man’s music. With vocals soaring into the occasional falsetto and an ambient mesh of sound throughout; the boys create a relaxed feel-good environment for their audience, welcoming them in.

Adding appearances to their belt by supporting the likes of five-star acts Red Riders in Melbourne, the Fauves album launch and Bombay Bicycle Club, the four boys have worked their way up to appearances at Falls Festival.

In no mood for rest and relaxation, I, A Man will be bringing their acoustic guitars and a variety of percussion and keys when they play a free show at The Espy on May 12th. Yes, a FREE show.

After this show, I, A Man hope to find some time to bunker down in the studio to work on their follow up EP and further explore the ambient sound they have made for themselves.

The guys will be supported by Melbourne based rockers Iowa who recently released their debut album Never Saw It Coming, Kodiak Club and Queenslanders Hope Springs who are Melbourne virgins.

Kick off is at 9pm. Lock in the 12th of May at the ESPY NOW!

I, A Man’s EP You Are Boring Us All is available for download through Shock.com.au
