Gyroscope Guitarist Breaks Both Legs, Benefit Show Postponed

May 16, 2012 by Will in Artists, Featured with 0 Comments

Zoran Trivic

‘Nice guys finish last’ is a fairly apt cliche to describe Gyroscope guitarist and all round humanitarian Zoran Trivic after the poor bastard came off second best in a motor cycle accident recently, suffering a couple of broken legs and a sprained penis (we can’t confirm the part about his genitalia).

Now he’s looking at three to four months of recovery including a few nasty operations and a whole heap of rehab. If you’ve ever seen Breaking Bad it’s very similar to the situation that Hank was in after The Cartel shot him…Except that Trivic is set to make a full recovery.

But anyway, what makes the whole fiasco even more painful is that the lads from Gyroscope have had to postpone The Benefit For Dana Vulin until Saturday September 22.

Dana Vulin

For those who don’t know what the benefit is, here is a small story for you: Perth local, 26 year old Dana Vulin fell victim to a horrendous crime in her hometown of Rivervale, Perth two months ago. An intruder broke into her home, confronting her and dousing her body in methylated spirits, and setting her alight. This premeditated attack left Dana with burns to 60% of her body.  The Benefit Show For Dana Vulin will raise much-needed funds to aid Dana and her family with the expenses of medical treatment, legal fees and rehabilitation costs.

So while Trivic’s bones (and boner) heal Gyroscope are also calling for donations to assist Dana. These can be made by visiting any Westpac branch with the account details, or via direct debit to: WESTPAC BANK / BSB 036000 / Account: 939549 / Account name: FOUNDATION FOR DANA VULIN. And snap up your tickets, take the next couple of months to get very excited and witness Zoran’s triumphant return to the stage in support of a very worthy cause. Instead of buying that deck of ciggies or that extra choc-jam donut, think about where the money is really needed!

Tickets available through www.oztix.com.au or by dialling 1300 762 545.
