Gold Fields to join Metric

July 19, 2012 by Iain McKelvey in Artists, Latest News with 0 Comments

It seems that the band Metric’s ear for new acts is healthily open, with their announcement that Ballarats finest Gold Fields will be supporting them on their Splendour in the Grass sideshows.

If you haven’t already heard Gold Fields track Treehouse, GET ON THAT! Having toured alongside the likes of The Naked and Famous, Crystal Castles and Datarock, It appears that everyone wants a piece of them.

Limited tickets are still available for Metric’s Sydney sideshow on Thursday 26 July at HiFi, however the Friday 27 July show at Billboard in Melbourne has completely sold out!

Metric’s latest album Synthetica has been receiving rave reviews all over, as well as being the Triple J feature album it would seem that these shows are going to consolidate Metric’s torrid love affair with Australia.
