Friday 4:20

We know it. It’s a Friday arvo and you’re doing bugger all. Don’t you fucking lie to us. With that in mind, every week we’re going to offer you a new track to start your weekend off the right way, followed by some cool shit to do in the best city; Melbourne. People, the weekend is almost upon us. Crack a frothy, shut down your word document and crank this track. You bloody deserve it!

FRIDAY

4:20PM: We have been waiting for this third Tame Impala record for quite some time now. While it’s not here just yet, the second single is really promising. ‘Cause I’m a Man’ is a smooth and spacey ballad, beautifully led by Kevin Parker’s airy voice. It has everything you need to relax after the short but equally taxing post-Easter week.

7:15PM: Melbourne comedian Dave Warneke is beginning his sixth MICF with his new experimental show ‘Dating the Entire Audience’ at the Tuxedo Cat. Warneke will be interacting with the public thanks to their smartphones and offering heaps of dating options. Will people want to date him back? That is the question.

10PM: Have you been practicing your booty shaking lately? No? That’s alright, you can have a big one at the Sub Club on Elizabeth St for the Afrocan April Edition. With a bunch of DJs and percussionists, Speranza Drum Live will keep you going all night long.

SUNDAY

4PM: Aevoe Cinema is launching this month at Howler in Brunswick with a series of screenings around the theme of Teenagers. This Sunday, it’s Gia Coppola’s ‘Palo Alto’ written by and featuring, James Franco. Keep an eye out for what other films they’ll be showing over the next month.
