Finland’s Finest to Tour

July 25, 2012 by Carl Dziunka in Artists, Latest News with 0 Comments

If you make a wish and make it at night, it would be a nightwish, right? Well all your wishes have come true because Nightwish are coming back to Australia in 2013. On this tour, they are also taking in New Zealand for the very first time.

Nightwish, the epic metal and gothic symphonic band from Finland, are back for their third visit to Oz having toured here in 2005 and 2008. This time they will be performing tracks from their latest offering called Imaginaerum. This is the bands seventh album and is described as a concept album. It tells the story of an old composer on his deathbed reminiscing about his youth. The first single off the album, Storytime, quickly raced up and topped the Finnish single charts.

Imaginaerum is an audio and visual experience which shows what Nightwish is all about. It’s going to be big, detailed and innovative and will leave you with an experience of being awestruck. Nightwish has also set the album to accompany a film of the same name. This is a musical fantasy which uses the music from Imaginaerum. So this will be your chance to see the fantasy live. Some advice from The Vulture: Don’t stand around too long wishing for tickets, get out there and get them.

To make your experience even better, Swedish rockers Sabaton will be supporting Nightwish in Sydney and Melbourne. Also supporting them on the rest of the Australian Tour are Eyefear, Black Majesty (not Sydney/Auckland) and Darker Half in Sydney.
