Exclusive: Veludo for Vulture Magazine

Melbourne four piece rock outfit, Veludo, have only been making the music goods together since 2012, and they have already built a steady following. The word itself, Veludo, is Portuguese for velvet, a description that accurately depicts the vocal delivery of lead singer, Gabriel Vargas. Their sound is reminiscent of nineties Aussie rockers, Icehouse, mixed with Screaming Jets and rounded out with the sass of Noiseworks. Can you say NOSTALGIC!?

Awesomeness ensued when the band made a pit-stop into Simpson Street Sessions last week, performing their latest release, ‘Stay Young‘ off their upcoming self-titled debut EP. The song is an homage to keeping your heart and mind frisky in youth, and the lads laid it down acoustically and exclusively for Vulture Magazine. Grab your Hypercolour T-shirt, your slinky and your Snap Crackle, sit down, and press play on this velvety tang.
