Emma Louise – ‘Boy’ Video Release

We’ve had a little bit of a crush on Emma Louise ever since her stunning single ‘Jungle’ and we’re absolutely aching for a full-length album.  ‘Boy’ is the latest release from this ethereal little pixie bird and the film clip, released this week, was shot in Brisbane and depicts Spunky Jesus smoking cigarettes in the world’s most un-interesting bedroom.

All gags aside, this is a truly beautiful, sweeping composition from Louise and a stunningly simple yet emotionally complicated video clip. Everybody has known somebody like the central character portrayed in the song – as she disappointingly, yet frankly tells it: “all you do is sit around, spending time, smoking cigarettes.”

Needless to say it has been a huge 12 months for this Brisbane songstress, having sold over 35,000 copies of her debut EP Full Hearts. She is currently in the rehearsal room with her band, fine-tuning a brand new show for the Sparks Tour to officially launch the single later this month.
