The annual Melbourne Design Awards opens for entries on Monday 19th of March, across six categories of Space, Visual, Object, Fashion, Experience and Marketplace.

It doesn’t matter if you potter away in your bedroom making animations of your cat, or practice as a professional architect- you are eligible to enter.
Since 2010, the design awards have supported, funded and commissioned projects with talented designers of all shapes and sizes. Both the public and industry professionals vote for category winners, and last year Goyte’s Somebody that I used to know” video took out the top gong for animation. While we cant promise that level of success (or over exposure…), it is a great opportunity to make your mark on the design world.
Vulture will personally endorse any applicant who can design a Jetsons style hover-craft. It is 2012 people, why are we still using cars???
Submissions close on the 8th of June, and the finalists are announced on June 25.
