City Never Sleeps for Brisbane’s Tourism

August 19, 2012 by Charli H in Latest News, New Music with 0 Comments

Brisbane four piece Tourism have been working at warp speed after 2011’s appearance at Splendour in the Grass with a string of releases like ‘Horse’s Back’ and ‘Paint In Colours’. Having recently toured with Snakadaktal, RUFUS, San Cisco and Faker, they are now holed up in the studio to pump out their upcoming EP, but for now you can enjoy the lad’s latest offering in the form of a single – ‘City Never Sleeps’.

Tourism are the product of two pale faced Brits – brothers Joe and James Wisniewski who relocated to sunny Brisbane, finding two kindred spirits by the names of Adrian and Ben on the way to form a bangin’ quartet with an embodiment of all that is British, blended with a laid-back Aussie feel.

‘City Never Sleeps’ shakes off some jangly tambourine in this upbeat summery single, and while unique guitar tones and happy chord progressions will get your heart beating fast, it’s the adorable British accent topped with those heavenly harmonies  that will make many a girl weak at the knees.

The boys hope to finish off their untitled EP, set to drop as soon as possible this year so they can get on the road to kick out those jams!  For now though, you can listen to the song for free here, and click on the Major Label tab to stream ‘City Never Sleeps’. Major Label band submissions for the September ‘12 signing are now open, so if you can bang out a tune or two, sign up for the chance to be released through General Pants’ own Major Label single imprint.
