Caloundra Music Festival Is Back

Caloundra Music Festival is back in 2016, promising yet another long weekend of ‘sun, surf and soul’ (and sibilance, apparently). This year marks the festival’s 10 year anniversary, and a myriad of both local and international talents are turning out to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast to celebrate.

Set to take place on the October long weekend – Friday September 30 until Monday October 3 – the line-up will include some classics including Michael Franti & Spearhead fresh off the release of their ninth album SoulRocker last month, The Cat Empire, who will make their first appearance at the festival since 2012 and international soul legends Tower of Power.

There are still more than 20 slots yet to be filled in the festival’s itinerary, and we’ve been told that ‘a couple of special Post-Splendour announcements’ are on the way. Amongst the artists yet to be made are two slots on the festival’s timetable, ominously labeled, ‘Special Announcement July 25’, which promise to add further vibrancy to the already monster line-up.
