Butterfly Boucher Releases New Single ‘The Weather’

August 1, 2012 by Tilly See in Artists, Latest News with 0 Comments

Earlier this year, Aussie songstress Butterfly Boucher released her critically acclaimed self-titled third album. The first single ‘5678!’, drew a huge response from fans and critics alike, reaffirming Boucher’s reputation as a skilled and experienced singer/songwriter.

Recently Boucher has released ‘The Weather’, her second single from the album. ‘The Weather’ is a heart-felt song about making use of the time you have with loved ones, when circumstances dictate that time is fleeting.

As Boucher says: “‘The Weather’ is a song about finally being back in the arms of your love but knowing it will only be for a short time before you must part ways again. That desperate and invigorating feeling of needing to make every moment and minute count no matter what the weather brings.”

For the past two months, Butterfly Boucher has been performing around Australia, supporting friend Missy Higgins, on her ‘Ol’ Razzle Dazzle’ tour. This was a big undertaking for Butterfly, who, on top of showcasing songs from her new album as support act, also performed as bandleader, bass player and backing vocalist for Higgins. Currently performing dates in New Zealand, Boucher will be back in Australia by the 8th of August to play some shows on home soil.
