BIGSOUND 2012 Second Lineup Announcement

June 23, 2012 by Jack in Festivals, Latest News with 0 Comments

BIGSOUND, Australia’s largest annual music industry event, rolls in to BrisVegas again this year from September 12 to 14, and thanks to a new major sponsor, they’ve been able to expand the number of bands and artists playing the BIGSOUND Live component to a whopping ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY! The new artist announcement is headed by The Aston Shuffle, Closure in Moscow, Ball Park Music, Henry Wagons, Strange Talk, David Bridie, Catherine Britt and Emperors and these names are added to the previously announced line-up including Kate Miller Heidke, Violent Soho, Oliver Tank and more.

It’s not just performances though – BIGSOUND is first and foremost a music conference, and so will host daily music forums and discussions, including a keynote speech by Ben Lee, and feature industry guests including EMI Chairman Mark Poston, Jack White’s Third Man Records MD Ben Swank (US), Spotify’s Rene Chambers (UK), Lisa Hresko (US) editor of CMJ, Primavera’s David Jimenez-Zumalacarregui (Spain), C3 Presents’ Aly Ehlinger (Lollapolooza, Austin City Limits) (US), Merlin’s Charles Caldas (UK), and Grouplove managers Nicky & Ben Berger (US).

So if you wanna learn a bit more about the music industry by day, and see some pretty cool bands by night, get along to BIGSOUND 2012.
