35 Years Of Bauhaus

Supremely iconic frontman Mr Peter Murphy announced the ‘Mr Moonlight Tour’ celebrating 35 years of the incredible Bauhaus. Murphy has started work with producer Youth (Killing Joke, The Verve) on his follow up to acclaimed 2011 solo effort ‘Ninth’.

Murphy states  Since 2006, I have included my Bauhaus work into my solo work as a way of tipping my hat to my own audience… I decided the time was ripe to at last give a pure Bauhaus experience in one Mr. Moonlight world tour. Mr. Moonlight is alive and well, don’t doubt it.”

Bauhaus formed in 1978 and achieved the kind of cult status that is rampantly alive today, they helped usher in dense moods and atmospheres to a post-punk landscape. They originally split in 1983 but reformed in 1998 and again in 2005. This will be the first time since 2006 that a Bauhaus set will be performed in full and the first time Murphy will do so on his own.

Wednesday December 11th Sydney – Manning Bar
Thursday December 12th Melbourne – Corner Hotel
